Yamaha To Launch New Entry Level Bikes –


Yamaha has been spotted testing its new motorcycles in the country. All the motorcycles are expected to be the entry level models powered by the 155cc engine. Two of the upcoming motorcycles are expected to be the XSR155 and the other will be the WR155.

Yamaha XSR 155 –


The XSR 155 is a retro styled motorcycle, equipped with round headlamps and a bench type seat. The model is expected to do the magic that Yamaha expected with its FZ-X motorcycle in the country. It will share the powertrain from its racing and naked sibling. That said, it will be positioned between the street naked MT-15 and R15 in the brand’s lineup. It is highly said that the model will be launched in India in November 2025.

Yamaha WR 155 –


Secondly, the brand was also spotted testing its new WR155, an off-road motorcycle. It is also expected to launch in the country. The model will rival the likes of Hero Xpulse 210 in the country. It will also be sharing the same engine like the XSR155. However, being an off-road biased bike, its seat height might be a factor that could trouble its sales. The bike has a seat height of 880mm. The new model is expected to launch in the coming year.

Yamaha NMax 155 –


Industry sources suggest the brand will be launching a new maxi-scooter in the country. Named as NMax 155. The NMax 155, is also expected to be showcased alongside the XSR 155 in the event held next month. The new scooter will be again powered by the same engine from the R15, showcasing the brand’s focus on entry level motorcycles in the country. The maxi scooter shares its platform with the Aerox 155.
