Investment – The Promise
As we all know, VinFast is a Vietnamese brand that recently debuted in India. However, if you think it is just another car brand, let us tell you something interesting about the VinFast. The automaker, in Vietnam, recently became the best-selling brand – for 11 consecutive months. This also showcases the brand’s trustworthiness in its hometown.

In India, the brand has arrived with a similar promise. Instead of setting up dealership networks & importing cars and selling them, VinFast set up an entire assembly plant. Spread across 400 acres of land, the brand’s first assembly facility has been set up in Toothukudi, Tamil Nadu. With an investment of Rs 16,000 crore, the brand will not only produce 50,000 units annually but also generate more than 3,000 jobs. And all the investment to mark their entry in India for the long run, & offer global products at affordable prices.

Rs 25 Lakh SUV – Coming In Your City
VinFast, as a global player, recognises that establishing an assembly plant with a substantial investment alone is insufficient to earn the trust of markets like India. And so, the automaker decides to spread its footprint across the nation. It inaugurated its first showroom in Gujarat and plans to open 35 more touchpoints across 27 cities in India by the end of 2025. And yes, all the dealers will have dedicated service centres.

After-Sale Service
But is opening dealerships nationwide enough for a new brand? Well, VinFast does not think so! Remember, we mentioned the sales record of the brand in Vietnam? That is not the only focus of VinFast. Pham Sanh Chau, chief executive officer of VinFast Asia, stated that the brand is not just focusing on quantity in India. In fact, the brand is here to build an entire ecosystem. This includes electric cars, electric buses, charging stations and more.

Talking about the charging network, VinFast joined hands with RoadGrid – a renowned name in the charging industry & after-sales. With its help, VinFast aims to set up as many as 15,000 charging stations in the country. Also, VinFast has partnered with Global Assure for 24/7 roadside assistance.
Rs 25 Lakh SUV – Products
VinFast made its debut in India with the launches of VF 6 & VF 7. Talking of which, the VF 6 – Hyundai Creta rival is priced between Rs 17.51 lakh & Rs 19.40 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). At this price point, the VF 6 comes equipped with a 59.6kWh battery pack and a claimed range of 468km. Some highlighting features include – 12.9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, HUD, panoramic glass roof, 360-degree camera, multi-zone climate control, ventilated and powered front seats and more. Safety features include 7 Airbags as standard, an electronic parking brake, a 360-degree camera, park assist, and Level 2 ADAS, amongst others in its package.

But if you want more space, power, and features, you can opt for the VF 7. The brand’s answer to SUVs like Harrier.ev, is currently priced between Rs 22.12 lakh & Rs 27.13 lakh (on-road, Mumbai). At this price point, you get a 70.8kWh battery pack with a claimed range of 510km. This battery pack comes paired with a single & dual electric motor setup. Among them, the dual-motor setup that will impress you the most with 345bhp & 500Nm of peak torque.
So, these were some important highlights of VinFast, a new entrant in the country. And it was important to share, as only knowing the exciting products is not enough. It is equally important to know the promise and trust the brand has planned to build in India.
