Upcoming SUVs in India – New-Gen Venue

Hyundai has now confirmed to launch the new-gen Venue on 4th November. The new model has been spotted several times testing on the road, revealing its design. Along with the new design, there are a few feature additions too – including a 12.3-inch dual-screen setup, a 360-degree camera, dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, ADAS, and more.
Under the hood, the new model is likely to continue the same combinations. That said, it will continue with the 1.2-litre NA petrol engine (82bhp & 114Nm), 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine (120bhp & 172Nm), 1.5-litre diesel engine (114bhp, 250Nm). Transmission options include a manual and a DCT gearbox.

Sierra ICE & EV –

It is rumoured that Tata Motors will launch the Sierra SUV by the end of November or early December. The Indian automaker will be launching both the ICE and electric avatars. But we expect the ICE model to come first.
On the design-front, it will carry its old symbolic design but with a modern touch. At the same time, its EV version will come with some EV-specific changes like a closed grille, aero-styled alloys, and more.
On the inside, some features expected on the SUV are a triple 12.3-inch connected screen, 10-speaker JBL sound system, ambient lighting, ADAS Level 2, 360-degree camera and a lot more. The feature list is expected to be common on both the electric and ICE iterations.
Under the hood, the model is expected to feature an all-new trio of 1.5-litre engines: a NA petrol, a turbo petrol, and a diesel. The diesel engine is likely to have a new torque converter gearbox, which is expected to replace the DCA transmission option. However, nothing is fully confirmed yet. In its electric avatar, the SUV might offer a battery pack options ranging between 55kWh and 75kWh, delivering a maximum range of 500+ km.

Mahindra XEV 7e/ XUV700 Facelift

Mahindra is also ready to launch a new model on 26th November. There is no clear information about which model is coming, but according to sources, the automaker can launch the new XEV 7e or the facelifted XUV700.
If the Indian automaker launches the electric 7-seater model, it can be positioned above the XEV 9e in the brand’s lineup with similar design characteristics. Moreover, it will have more advanced tech and features, including a triple-screen setup, a Harman Kardon sound system, 7 airbags, a HUD, ambient lighting, dual wireless chargers, powered front seats, a panoramic glass roof, an ADAS suite and more.
However, if Mahindra reveals the facelifted XUV700, it could get new design elements. Some features to be included on the SUV includes a triple screen display, Level 2+ ADAS, 16-speaker Harman Kardon, ventilated rear seats, automated tailgate and more in its package. Under the hood, the model is expected to carry the same powertrain options from the current model – i.e 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. Similarly, transmission options are expected to remain unchanged.
