Toyota’s Maruti rebadged EV version has been due for launch. Earlier it was expected to make its debut by the end of year. However, the delay made by Maruti for its e Vitara has even cost Toyota to push the launch timeline of its EV SUV.

The model was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Auto Show held earlier this year. Now, by delaying the model, Toyota would need to come up with a new strategy to position this model, as the compact SUV segment is witnessing new additions. So, when is it coming? we have recently discussed about its exact launch timeline.

The major difference between the Toyota’s EV and the Maruti one will be its design characteristics. However, both the models will have many things in common like the interior design, feature list and the battery packs.

The Duster has already been revealed in the international market in RHD version. The same was expected to be launched in this year, but now its launch is expected to be done by early 2026.

The comeback of this old SUV is expected to trouble its prime rival Hyundai Creta, but will it really be a VFM model? For that, we have already revealed the upcoming Renault Duster. Apart from that, Renault being Renault, we expect it to price this SUV aggressively to eat a chunk of Creta’s sales.

Something more interesting is that the SUV will also have its 3-row version, launching after the 5-seater version. With this Renault will try to have a greater market share. But, for it too we would need to wait, as it is expected to come by mid 2026.

Volkswagen had already launched its two expensive offerings, the Golf GTi and Tiguan R-line models in the country. However, the brand was also expected to launch an SUV based on the Skoda Kylaq this year.

Now, we have already shared details regarding this affordable Volkswagen SUV. The Volkswagen Tera has already been launched in the international markets, but at present, the German automaker has not officially revealed its launch timeline.

Many enthusiasts termed the VW Tera to be the perfect Polo replacement for India, in an SUV avatar. Moreover, the Kylaq is already doing the magic for Skoda in terms of sales. If VW launches its Tera and prices it as aggressively as the Kylaq, it could also bring more sales volume for the German automaker.

For some months, Mahindra has been extensively testing the electric version of XUV 3XO, hinting about its launch this year. But, till now there has been no information regarding the launch of this electric SUV.

The brand has now launched facelifted Thar and Bolero SUVs, and will be launching a new model in the coming month. But, the 3XO EVs launch is still in the shadows. While the brand has been promising to launch new age electric vehicles, the 3XO EV can be an affordable electric offering to replace the XUV 400 from its lineup.

In its ICE version, the XUV 3XO competes against the Nexon, Brezza, Kylaq – while in the EV form its prime rival will be the Nexon and Windsor. The growing sales of MG Windsor can be one of the reasons for which Mahindra could have delayed the launch of 3XO EV. Before launching, the brand could plan a good plan and strategy to stay ahead in the game.
