That’s right! Since its launch, the Tata Safari has only been available with a diesel engine. However, for a while now, there have been rumours of a petrol version of the Safari in the works. Well, it looks like the Safari will be receiving a new 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, which it will also share with the Harrier, Jeep Compass and Meridian. We say this because we have received a “save the date” from Mahindra. However, it is possible that Mahindra may launch the electric version of the XUV700, the XEV 7e. It is safe to say that XEV 7e can be launched in November, as the brand had launched both of its first-ever BEVs, the BE 6 and the XEV 9e, on November 26. The XEV 7e will likely get additional features and will be Mahindra’s first 7-seater electric SUV with AWD. On the other hand, the XUV700 facelift is likely to get a triple screen setup and a few cosmetic upgrades.
