Upcoming EV SUVs – Tata Sierra.ev
Yes! You read it right! India’s one of the most exciting launches is yet to happen. After showcasing concept cars for the past 3 years, it seems that Tata Motors is finally ready to launch the new Sierra. Talking of which, the brand has asked the media to be prepared for two dates – 25th November and 9th December. On these dates, we are expecting the brand to either launch the Punch facelift, or the Sierra ICE & Sierra.ev. That said, all the mentioned SUVs seem to be in the final stage of testing and are ready for launches. If it is the Sierra.ev, be ready for Tata’s most feature-loaded SUV as it will debut a triple-screen layout for the brand. And if you are planning to wait for it, the SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 18 lakh & Rs 27 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Mahindra XEV 7e
If the Sierra.ev launch is not exciting for you, then you are probably waiting for Mahindra to drop its biggest launch! Yes, just like Tata Motors, Mahindra has also asked the media to reserve the 25th of November. Having left us in suspense, we are expecting Mahindra to launch its first 7-seater electric SUV in the country. We recently received a spy shot of the XEV 7e – a 7-seater SUV based on the XUV700 – at a charging station. And the test car appears to be completely ready for the launch. In terms of specs & features, you can expect the XEV 7e to be identical to the XEV 9e. However, the 7-seater model could be priced higher than the XEV 9e, anywhere between Rs 23.50 lakh & Rs 34 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).

Upcoming EV SUVs – Maruti e Vitara
If the SUVs mentioned above do not excite you, the Maruti e Vitara probably will! Yes, another much-awaited SUV, the e Vitara is all set for launch in December 2025. We are yet to receive the exact launch date, but it is confirmed that Maruti’s first EV for India will arrive before the end of 2025. We have already seen the e Vitara at the Bharat Mobility Auto Expo 2025.

Talking of which, the SUV will be loaded with features like – Level 2 ADAS, 10.1-inch touchscreen system, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, powered & ventilated front seats, 360-degree camera, 7 Airbags, reclining rear seats & more! Also, the SUV will come equipped with two battery pack options – 49kWh & 61kWh. However, we may not get an option for AWD – offered in global markets. That said, the e Vitara is expected to be priced between Rs 17 lakh & Rs 24 lakh (on-road, Mumbai).
